Ghana's national amputee soccer team receives bonus for good showing at World Championship

Officials of the National Amputee football Association have confirmed receipt of bonuses for competing at the recently ended World Amputee Championship in Argentina.

The Fifteen players of the team each received one thousand and eighty dollars.

Ghana finished sixth in the Championship but their sterling performances saw two of the players selected as the best eleven players of the tournament.

Ghana also won the most promising team award and was the only African Country to progress to the quarter finals of the competition.

Ghana will host the next edition of the African Amputee Championship in September next year and President of the African Amputee football Association Adjetey Sowah who also manages the team said Government must be praised for the support.

He said before the players returned their bonuses were ready.
